https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=203032 Bug ID: 203032 Summary: x11-toolkits/qt4-gui: Build package with QGTKSTYLE option Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: kde@FreeBSD.org Reporter: neffi@neffi.net Assignee: kde@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(kde@FreeBSD.org) If this is the incorrect category for this bug report, I apologize in advance. Adding QGTKSTYLE to QT4_OPTIONS in make.conf allows Qt to style itself using GTK themes. As far as I can tell, this option doesn't cause a hard dependency on GTK, or anything else. Qt will simply shadow the ability to use GTK themes if GTK is not installed. It seems reasonable to include this option with the packages built for the pkgng repositories. It has no impact on install dependencies, minimal impact on binary size, and it's how Qt4 packages are built on most Linux distributions. I'm also wondering why this is not included as a `make config` option, and if that fact should also be considered a bug. I do not know the policy on build options in ports, so I did not file a separate bug for that. NOTE: It's also necessary to include the option when building devel/qt4-corelib, but I thought it was redundant to tag both ports. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
