Greetings,

I installed (actually replaced) a Seagate ST43400N with a suppossedly new
one today. I'm now getting SCSI parity errors whenever I try to write a
file larger than a few KB. I did notice that the firmware revision was 1020
whereas the other three disks I have are 1022. I'm assuming there is a
problem with the firmware of the drive. Is it upgradeable? Is it fixable?
The drive is partitioned (labeled) and formatted exactly the same as the one
it replaced.

The error is:

sd2(bt0:4:0): ABORTED COMMAND info?:214ac asc:47,0 SCSI parity error, retries:4

The retries and the numbers change after the info?:

Thanks,

Craig
