everytime i create a program ( ie perl script ) it keeps making the file read only, how do i make it where everytime i write a program it makes it available to execute...
i think it has somehing to do with stickey fingers, but i'm new to unix...

second how do i search the mail archives for key words in the documents...
i have used the search engine on freebsd's web site, but noting matching what i want to do...
