obviously because the sparc64 port uses sunlabel, not bsdlabel for it's
disks.  This is to aid in operability w/ sparc gear.

I would recommend you load geom_sunlabel into your kernel to get the
proper support for the label.

(just like you have to load the geom_mbr/geom_bsd inorder to see x86
based disks on a sparc64.)
