This is exactly what I did: 1- I downloaded via FTP (not using NETSCAPE and in BINARY MODE) kern.flp and mfsroot.flp. 2- I formatted 2 (new) floppies with : fdformat /dev/rfd0 (I tried with different floppies) 3- I copied the two files on the floppies with : dd if=___.flp of=/dev/rfd0 4- I boot the PC with the kern floppy into the drive 5- When the bootstrap loader asks me for the MFS root floppy I inserted it and press enter, but the result was: int=0000000e err=00000004 elf=00030246 eip=00002147 eax=00002001 ebx=00000000 ecx=0000df07 edx=000003f5 esi=0000a9a3 edi=0000a9a3 epb=000003e8 esp=000003de cs=ebce ds=0040 es=f000 fs=0000 gs=0000 ss=9db7 cs:eip=8a 64 0a 8a c4 d0 e4 c0-e8 02 02 e0 b0 ff 2a c4 ss:esp=00 f0 6a 21 37 29 9e 25-a3 a9 00 00 fe 9d a3 a9 System halted I tried the same floppies on two other PCs: they works only on one of them (the one they didn' t work onto gave the same problem). I tried also with the boot.flp of the 2.2.8-RELEASE and this works fine. Can anyone help me?
