i see that you have chicken and egg problem here=2E you want to build a pho= ne on fbsd=2E that could be maybe some high security device designed for go= vernments at first, general public later=2E that could bring lot of develop= ment onto fbsd, resulting in higher popularity, funding too, all related to= battery powered embedded devices=2E more security research (and malware :(= ) too=2E the problem is that fbsd doesn't really support any of that=2E the= re is embedded and it's used even commercially but so much of work needs to= be done that it would require a lot=2E i did read briefly that you even en= ded up having fights with people seemingly on who will do this work=2E i be= t someone will, provided someone gives them food=2E that could come from pe= ople who buy this=2E hell, this needs whole team=2E there are big companies= contributing, if you watch commit logs, but they focus on amd64 only=2E so= rry to see this fizzling out as idea is super cool=2E perhaps you could bui= ld basically working prototype on something existing=2E i have h3 here whic= h works well except it's 32bit so it's going out soon and video is hard if = not impossible=2E (my project will not require video nor battery)=2E but yo= u know all that i see=2E this is not first time=2E i think openmoko freerun= ner poorly ran fbsd too, my friend had that working i recall=2E how you're = going to pull it off i have no idea=2E i'm not good in any of those fields = either=2E happy to test something tho=2E have a good luck with this masterp= iece
