If I wanted to synchronize the local passwd databases on a bunch of FreeBSD machines (not the NIS records), what is the best way of doing this? Is this recommended (or even possible)? So far I've been using an rdist script to distribute the pwd.db, spwd.db, master.passwd and passwd files to all the machines. Do I risk corrupting in-core structures this way? -- Brian ("Though this be madness, yet there is method in't") Tao taob@gate.sinica.edu.tw <-- work ........ play --> taob@io.org
