Date: Sat, 20 Apr 1996 07:12:04 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Does anybody know a way or "hack" to keep your host name if your host name is static but your ip is dynamic? When I join the irc it always says dal1-??.conline.com instead of zeid.conline.com. Or when I fire up netscape and point my browser to http://zeid.conline.com netscape can't even find my computer when it's running on it. I have to point my browser to my actual ip address or dal1-??.conline.com. Is this possible to do with a dynamic ip? Thanks :) zeidaot@conline.com zeidaot@netcom.com ` Thomas Mitchell Shaw aka: Mitch :)
