As a consequence the main remaining problem on this laptop is solved. Note this brings XVideo support, but harware OpenGL still does not work for an unknown reason. Xorg.0.log reports (II) I810(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler (II) I810(0): [DRI] installation complete (II) I810(0): direct rendering: Enabled but glxinfo reports: name of display: :0.0 display: :0 screen: 0 direct rendering: No and glxgears produces crap results. For the convenience of people who could be tempted to buy the same laptop (i find it very nice, and not overpriced), here is dmesg, with, i hope, all hardware detected - note there is a pccard controller, but no pccard slot, only flash card slots, controlled by pccard. Also the touchpad is recognised as an Alps touchpad under Linux with all sorts of functions, here it acts as a standard mouse, tapping has no effect: rose% dmesg Copyright (c) 1992-2007 The FreeBSD Project.
