is not a proper GNU 3-tupple. Autoconf 2.5x built configure scripts
are now bitching
"configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target" due to it.

"unknown" is the canonical "vendor" value.
But I prefer "portbld" as knowning that has helped me in the past
when epople send me bug reports,etc.
