In-Reply-To: Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-stable@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I'm in the middle of updating a machine from 2.2.5 to 4.1.1, hopefully. I've got it to 2.2.8-S, successfully, then when the initial attempt to go from 2.2.8 to 3.5-S failed, I dropped down to 3.2-R which was successful. However, I now can't get from 3.2-R to 3.5-S, as buildworld dies at this point: ===> cc1plus cc -O -pipe -I. -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/cc/cc1plus/../../../../contrib/gcc -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/cc/cc1plus/../../../../contrib/gcc/config -DFREEBSD_NATIVE -DDEFAULT_TARGET_VERSION=\"2.7.2.3\" -DDEFAULT_TARGET_MACHINE=\"i386-unknown-freebsd\" -I/usr/obj/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/cc/cc1plus/../cc_tools -I/usr/obj/usr/src/tmp/usr/include -static -o cc1plus parse.o call.o class.o cvt.o decl.o decl2.o edsel.o errfn.o error.o except.o expr.o gc.o init.o lex.o method.o pt.o ptree.o repo.o search.o sig.o spew.o tree.o typeck.o typeck2.o xref.o /usr/obj/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/cc/cc1plus/../cc_int/libcc_int.a class.o: file not recognized: File truncated *** Error code 1 Stop. I'd love to read /usr/src/UPDATING to see what I'm missing here, but when I cvsup RELENG_3, UPDATING is empty except for the revision banner. I've verified this on machines at home and work, and they're all the same. Is this an error, or is there just nothing of interest for UPDATING on RELENG_3?
