Since it is on our > todo list for ages I did asume that it's true. Thanks for correcting > me. >=20 Let me detail that a bit more. It has always worked with guests that have the guest additions installed (vbox services running). In my case, all windows (2003, 2008, XP,7 and 8) and linux (debian, centos and Fedora). OS/2 also worked. Macs don't have guest additions so I rely on regular file sharing for their vms. Ironically, I don't have a FreeBSD guest VM. Since I'm a daily witness of the stability and performance of FreeBSD as a VBox host, I am first and foremost interested on this aspect of it. Well, this is not entirely true since I also have a pf-sense vm. For clarity's sake, not all of these are production machines. Some of them are just for learning/testing, and others just for challenge/fun, like a win 3.1 vm I'll be trying to install soon. To be precise, I have 6 production VBox vms running. On a FreeBSD host server: Windows 2008 server Symantec WebGateway service Symantec messaging (Brightmail) On my FreeBSD laptop: XP, win7 and win 8. > > Forgive me for hijacking the thread but there were 3 patches > > specific for FBSD, published by Ed Maste on > > VBox-dev list that were committed by Alexander Eichner.
