It's that the configure pass does not find the dependencies needed for the NUMPY option, so disable it and does not stage the python modules required for it. If the NUMPY option is disabled, it builds just fine for me, but I can't build with NUMPY any more. If the patch is implemented, it would just cause the port to be silently installed without NUMPY support that was expected.
