hello, we installed FreeBSD 2.2.7 successfully, since we want to use 3COM 3c905b-tx cards we want to include support for the xl-driver into the kernel. We did all the steps described in the manual, how to build a new kernel, downloaded the source for the xl-driver, but the new build kernel still does not include support for the xl-driver. So we did: cp KERNEL MYKERNEL in the conf-dir edited MYKERNEL to include a line device xl0 did a "config MYKERNEL" make depend make make install what did we miss ? please respond to my email-address js@ac-copy.net since I am not yet on the mailinglist To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
