You're not likely to get a response on SCSI questions by mailing the
questions list, since most of the "people with a clue" about SCSI don't
read -questions. :)

Those controllers should work fine.  In fact, I think Justin has an ASUS
motherboard with a builtin 7890.

CAM will never be included in the 2.2.x tree.  We will, however, be
releasing another snapshot for the 2.2-stable tree at some point.  I'm not
sure when that will be, since both Justin and I are very busy with "real
work" at the moment.  Hopefully it'll happen within a couple of weeks, but
that's not a promise or guarantee.
