i found this same question in the list archives for september last year, 
but i can find no answer to it.

running 2.2R on a tyan 1668 atx P6 with adaptec 2940UW and an intel 
etherexpress 16 i get the following errors on boot and the interface will 
not report RUNNING at all:

Reset timeout scb->status = 0
Diagnose timeout cb->status = 0
Diagnose timeout scb->status = 0
Configure timeout cb->status = 0
Configure timeout scb->status = 0
IAS timeout cb ->status = 0
IAS timeout scb ->status = 0

please Cc: me with answers since my subscription to the list seems to be 
a bit delayed.
