Have you tested if it will build and run when you use the currently available 1.55 port? Boost contains the Geometry libs since 1.47 (http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_55_0/libs/geometry/doc/html/geometry/release_notes.html). MariaDB contains the same features it seems yet doesn't require a later Boost version (I have not tested this at runtime).
