Subject: Question about ispell port and emacs requirement

I'm trying to build a new port, and it requires ispell3 which
requires an emacs build to install one file [share/emacs/site-lisp]....
Is there any option (should there be one?) that can be set to
prevent the emacs build? [Or should the port be modified to just
'blindly' create the directories and install the emacs file?]

Thanks,
