That's most likely the source of your problem. I don't know what you're using for NAT on your W2K box, but I've done installations of W2K where LAN activities worked fine on one box and not on another, with the exact same install process. Personally, I would focus your efforts on getting PPPoE working on one of your FreeBSD machines.
