Make sure that the latest sound driver is installed, or csup the latest
stable source and do a makeworld.

Add the following to your kernel config file below the line reading
controller pnp0:
device	pcm0 at isa ? port ? tty irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 vector pcmintr

Comment out the following in your kernel config file.

> -sb0
> -sbxvi(sp?)
> -sbmidi

Re-build your kernel and you should be all set.  Hope that this helps.
