My problem is that when I'm in the Oracle installer, I can't seem to "select" installation options. Example, the screen may show several options, and when I use the arrow keys to try to make a selection it skips over some of the options. I'm relatively new to linux/freebsd so I may not have things set up correctly. Any ideas? Thanks, Sid Keller I believe that I found the solution. Maybe it was obvious to everyone except me but I believe you have to do the installation under xwindows. Since I hardly ever use xwindows I never tried. I think that the two articles mentioned above are great, and I know that I could never get Oracle installed without them, but I wish that this point would have been made more clearly.
