I have a command in my ppp.linkup=20 file to run a script which ftp's a file up to another server=20 on the web each time a connection is made with my ISP.=20 When the server reboots, I have commands in the /etc/rc.local=20 file to run ppp -auto -alias my_isp and start Apache. Problem=20 is, when the server reboots, ppp and Apache start okay, but the=20 command in my ppp.linkup file does not execute. In other=20 words, my file does not get ftp'ed up to the other server unless=20 I manually login and run the script myself. When I manually login and run ppp the ppp.linkup file runs=20 the desired script without a problem. It is only when the=20 server reboots and no one is there to login that the ppp.linkup=20 file fails to execute.
