Hi Subhashish;

AFAICT GNU/hurd has no similarity to FreeBSD .. or anything  ;).

In any case, to be able to really overhaul the config system you have to 
understand
how we build device drivers and how dependencies are built.

You basically have to understand NewBus:

And you should also take a look at the last attempt to adopt the NetBSD 
approach
(at the end newbus won):
