Weird. I last tried yesterday (Sunday). However, having re-enabled the GTKSPELL option (i.e. set it back to defaults), it compiles and builds fine. The port (I always use portsnap before updating) has *not* been updated between then and now. However, it's too difficult to pin down the issue at this point. Sorry for the noise.
