I've had similar problems with 3.0-SNAP 970807. However, I did not
have this problem with 2.1.6 or 2.1.7, from which I upgraded.

I posted this about a month ago and one of the core team (J'org)
is aware of it, but didn't have any system to test it on.

I'm running on interrupt 9/2 at the moment.

wt0 at 0x300-0x301 irq 9 drq 1 on isa

I have an clumsy time reading debug messages, as I'm running a
fixed-freq
monitor and it works only in X. I'll try to get an old monitor and hook
it up and save the debug messages.
