Sounds like you have either upgraded ports-base without upgrading the ports tree itself, or you have updated everything, yet for some reason the pkg/ or patches/ directories are left in the glib12 port. Try removing them and see if the port builds. If it does, do this: find /usr/ports -type d -and \( -name pkg -or -name patches \) | xargs rm -rf G'luck, Peter -- This sentence is false.
