Yes!

I merged the change into my freebsd.mc, copied that to the
/usr/ports/mail/sendmail/......... cf

./Build freebsd.cf .. moved it into /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

deinstalled, reinstalled, it's up and running. check the headers..
