Nothing changed ! And to continue, this is ONLY with Skype !!!! Any other multimedia application works perfect (xmms, x11amp, mplayer....) I tryied both skype's, namely that one from ports (/usr/ports/net/skype ) or the version for linux downloaded from www.skype.com. The troubles are with Skype and sound on FreeBSD! Now I have on my PC (an Intel Pentium4 3.2 GHz precessor with FreeBSD 6.1 RC and snd_via8233 module) skype working well (as never before) but NOT on my laptop (a ThinkPad T21 machine, with Crystal Sound Fusion sound device and Cirrus Logic CS4297A AC97 Codec and again FreeBSD 6.1 RC system). So to conclude, the problem is with Skype on FreeBSD !!!! And I am crazy about this, it's really a challange for me, not mentioning the fact that on my XP Windows partition on the same ThinkPad laptop works wonderfull !!! Let's do something with this, I am sick of turning off my Unix box every time when I want to use Skype !!! It's boring !!! Thanks a and Long live FreeBSD !!! Mitica Vulcanov
