Been there, done it, will NEVER go back. From my experience the biggest 2 advantages of FreeBSD are; 1. Can update world, kernel and ports in a few hours and be confidant that I actually got everything. 2. Linux gets busy and eventually falls over. FreeBSD gets busy, bitches and moans but does in fact stay alive and will calm down eventually. :Definitely.
