Let me add one more thing: if after the build of kdegames2 fails as mentioned above and I go into the subdirectory and execute the failed command by hand and append "-pthread" to the command line, then resume the build, it appears to be happy. It is annoying, however, to have to do this by hand for each of the many places it so fails. I wish I were more comfortable with editing gmake's makefiles myself. Aaron out.
