I think you need more recent version of FreeBSD, probably 3.3-RELEASE or
better -stable. The snd driver doesn't support Ensoniq AudioPCI cards as
far as I know. In the case you have 1370 chip based card and recent
version of FreeBSD, all what you need in the kernel config file is:

controller	pnp0
device		pcm0
--
