Can you supply the user-ppp log with ccp logging enabled ? The below packet looks like a CCP rejection or NAK of DEFLATE24. This should only be sent if the peer originally requested it.... Also, bear in mind that the latest versions of pppd do proper deflate compression using id 26 rather than id 24. > Hello! > > Help me, please. > When I try to use ppp on client side end pppd on server side > I cann't establish compressed connection. > I added in ppp.conf > enable deflate24 > accept deflate24 > but on server side I got the messase: > > Apr 27 22:09:55 dune pppd[96485]: Received bad configure-nak/rej: 18 04 78 00 > > and on client side > > PPP ON hut> show ccp > deflink: CCP [Ack-Rcvd] > My protocol = MAGNALINK/DEFLATE, His protocol = none > Output: 0 --> 0, Input: 0 --> 0 > > Defaults: FSM retry = 3s, max 5 Config REQs, 5 Term REQs > deflate windows: incoming = 0, outgoing = 15 > DEFLATE: enabled & accepted > PREDICTOR1: enabled & accepted > DEFLATE24: enabled & accepted > > What I'm doing wrong? > > Sincerelly yours, > Vadim ( vvc@kharkiv.net ) -- Brian <brian@Awfulhak.org> <brian@FreeBSD.org> <http://www.Awfulhak.org> <brian@OpenBSD.org> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour ! <brian@uk.FreeBSD.org> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
