https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D246741 Bug ID: 246741 Summary: audio/openal-soft: Enable sndio by default Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: tobik@freebsd.org Reporter: contact@evilham.com Assignee: tobik@freebsd.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(tobik@freebsd.org) Follow up from #246726 (sndio in multimedia/mpv) and #211664 (added the snd= io option to audio/openal-soft). It looks like enabling sndio by default on openal-soft might be tricky, bec= ause the package starts depending on sndio and that means that for all packages = that depend on openal-soft (that's over 100 ports), sndio would be a transitive dependency. Maybe this could be considered similar to how wayland was enabled by defaul= t? I don't really know how that came to happen, but it certainly is making things easier for wayland adoption. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
