I've noticed from the logs that immediately before both crashes it was establishing a VPN tunnel with a Netgear ProSafe VPN FVS114 Firewall, with tunnel settings on both sides being AES128/SHA1, with both Phase 1 and Phase 2 having 28800 lifetimes.
