Subject:   Logout options missing on gnome-2.10

On Gnome 2.8 when I logged out of my session I was presented with the 3
options of "Logout", "Shutdown" and "Restart System". These options are
now gone. I suspect there is a configuration option to turn this back
on, but I have not been able to find it.

Any clues?
