So you have an ATM connection with the switch, but the connection dies after a file transfer? I think someone else had this kind of problem some time ago. If I remember right, the file transfer was using all the bandwidth and the switch (it may have been IBM) dropped the signaling channel. I have just posted my new IDT driver, which gives 0/5 and 0/16 higher priority than ordinary UBR. You might want to give it a try: http://www.hodges.org/rh/code/if_idt.tar.gz If you compile ilmid.c with the -g option and send me a core dump, I will take a look to see why it doesn't work for you.
