This problem } has been observed on other systems as well. The -link2 option } is only a work-around, not a solution. A friend reported a problem using de0 with 100baseT and found, that it was caused by a wrong order of initializations and tests. He wanted to send a detailed bug report to Matt Thomas, but since I'm just back from a vacation, I'm not sure whether he actually did ...
