Ref. kern/139088 The machine is an Intel D945GCLF2 which has an Atom 330 processor and at the time was running BIOS: LF94510J.86A.0229.2009.0729.0209 Running FreeBSD 8.1 RC2 these errors were observed every few minutes while running buildword on FreeBSD 8.1-STABLE from 8-10-10 via cvsup. messages.1:Aug 10 11:00:06 backster kernel: ACPI Error (psparse-0633): Method pa rse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.LPC_.SMBR] (Node 0xffffff00014362a0), AE_AML_IN FINITE_LOOP- messages.1:Aug 10 11:00:06 backster kernel: ACPI Error (psparse-0633): Method pa rse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.LPC_.INIT] (Node 0xffffff00014362c0), AE_AML_IN FINITE_LOOP messages.1:Aug 10 11:00:06 backster kernel: ACPI Error (psparse-0633): Method pa rse/execution failed [\_GPE._L00] (Node 0xffffff000131ea40), AE_AML_INFINITE_LOO P messages.1:Aug 10 11:00:06 backster kernel: ACPI Exception: AE_AML_INFINITE_LOOP , while evaluating GPE method [_L00] (20100331/evgpe-629) After updating to 8.1-STABLE the errors did not return during a kernel compile and several port builds. The BIOS has since been updated to the latest available on the same date as the buildworld to 8.1-STABLE: LF94510J.86A.0278.2010.0414.2000 A check of the logs shows no further occurrences of these ACPI errors after 2 days of port builds and other 'heavy' use. Hope this helps.. -kim --
