I just installed FreeBSD on my machine, an Athlon 1.2 with an AOpen AK73 Pro(A) mobo. Unfortunately, I see an enormous number of hard lockups that can only be fixed with the reset key. The only consistent pattern I've been able to find is that it gets worse under heavy load (like kernel compiles). On the other hand I've seen it happen when the machine was essentially idle and several times during the install Has anyone else seen anything like this? Were you able to fix it? Any ideas?
