It should work just fine. An Aptiva has a PCI bus I believe? As long as it's a normal ISA/PCA bus system, which I'm pretty sure it is, you won't need to replace anything. My computer is a Compaq Presario, and I replaced the processor with a faster one and added a hard drive; that's the extent of my changes. Someone comment; I'm about 99% sure Aptiva doesn't have Microchannel architecture. > ======================================== > Kevin Entringer > AterDraconis@excel.net > Server Administrator: wyrm.merconline.com > ICQ:849546 > ========================================= On a side not, I think we actually got FreeBSD working on a Microchannel bus system once. Anyone have a comment on that one? Anyway, good luck getting it up! No matter what, it's better than MS anything! *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* | FreeBSD; the way computers were meant to be | * "The only reason I'm burning my candle at both ends, is * | that I haven't figured out how to light the middle yet."| * fullermd@futuresouth.com :-} MAtthew Fuller * | http://keystone.westminster.edu/~fullermd | *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
