I just read this the other day in the 4.4BSD internals book (the one by
McKusack spell???).  Your system should only use swap when it has run out of
or needs more than the available amount of free memory (RAM).

There is no problem.  It's just a happy machine.

Hello,

I have a dual pentium II 450, with 512ram.
When I run top, it is not using swap at all.

Swap: 1536M total, 1536M Free.
