I've had similar problems to this in the past with various different releases. The only common factor in these failed installs has been that I had to change settings (network, partitioning, labels, install options) after starting the install. And the only reliable way I have found to correct it is to simply restart the install from scratch - it seems the installer gets confused if you change any of its settings after the fact. Not much help, I know, but at least you know someone else has had problems! > I've now "back-tracked" and installed 4.7-RELEASE using the same mechanisms > on the same two machines and they work without any problems (as ever). > > regards, > > Mark Redding. > > > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" -- Daniel Bye PGP Key: ftp://ftp.slightlystrange.org/pgpkey/dan.asc PGP Key fingerprint: 3D73 AF47 D448 C5CA 88B4 0DCF 849C 1C33 3C48 2CDC _ ASCII ribbon campaign ( ) - against HTML, vCards and X - proprietary attachments in e-mail / \
