If you wanted the whole system (and I would highly recommend buying the CD if you want the *entire* thing) just download everything in ftp.freebsd.org:/pub/FreeBSD/2.1.5-RELEASE _except_ ports and packages. You'll be there forever if you try to pull the packages. See INSTALL for more info.
