(3rd and 4th) IDE channels were only useful for CD-ROMS and wouldn't actually support a hard drive. I am not sure if this is just for 3rd and 4th IDE buses that are running off of a sound card or if it applies to all of them. Just what I heard? Although hooking five IDE hard disks up would be a nice inexpensive way to add more disk space. Please note that I don't have any professional experience with IDE ports and stuff other than just setting them up and hooking up devices. -taco -- Todd Hansen, KD6YPS (Taco) taco@mad.scientist.com http://millenium.atcg.com/ "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive...it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it" - Declaration Of Independence
