Yes, you can install the FrontPage extentions without the "Apache
w/FrontPage Module" Server.  But you wont get a secure installation, as the
FrontPage programs (author.exe, admin.exe, shtml.exe, fpcount.exe) would
then need to be installed in to each web.  Besides you would need to check
if the DES libraries are installed, and patch the install_fp.sh script to
reconize FreeBSD as a being BSDi compatible.

You would be better off using the Apache-FP port.  As it will check for the
DES library, patch the Apache sources to use the FrontPage module, and patch
the install_fp.sh & change_server.sh scripts to reconize FreeBSD.  Also, the
FrontPage module is patched to fix the shtml.dll file not found error (unix
FP ext uses shtml.exe instead).
