My earlier pth was about a week old. On that subject, how about an xmms-arts port? I saw an archived posting by someone who had tried but failed, a while ago, because of basically the same problem I was having (arts_init couldn't open libartscbackend.la). Presumably it should work now. > the pth port. I think that kdelibs2 should work fine with FreeBSD's > native thread libraries. Sorry for my ignorance -- I did look in /usr/lib but couldn't find anything which looked like threads. In that case, why doesn't kdelibs2 just use FreeBSD's native threads, instead of bothering with the pth port?
