Is it hardware or maybe just a bad tape? The situation: All attempts to read/write/erase or even get status of any tape results in the error message below. The drive was working prior to my upgrade to 4.3-R, and now to 4.5-Pre. Have tried the card (2940 adaptec) in a windows machine with no luck either. Also have tried identical drive, new cable, same configuration, etc.. terminators are in place. At this time, I'm doing an erase, but the green led on the drive is not lit up. The amber led is, but not flashing. Any ideas/help appreciated.
