The system now detects both slots.. but that's it for the good news. Here is the bad news: Slot 1 is non-functional; Inserting a card is apparently ignored as a stimulus, while ejecting said card causes the system to freeze solid. (this is intermittent. I can't duplicate it reliably) Rebooting the machine via 'reboot' on the console, or ctrl-alt-del still causes it to hang after displaying the Uptime. Dmesg output is here...
