This is because asmail's parser of user configuration file don't parse folder specification for IMAP4 correctly. This problem prevent user from using ssh-port-forwarding for IMAP4. >How-To-Repeat: Specify IMAP4 folder like, >Fix: I have made a patch and send the asmail's maintainer on May, 2001. He said next version will fix the problem but the development of asmail seems to be dead.
