Why in the world would you need a PCI video card?

I am a VGA house myself, mainly because I have a rack of machines, one VGA
monitor on the rack, and a wandering VGA cable for the infrequent times I
need to get at a machine's console....  but an 8 or 16 bit ISA VGA card
with 256KB is more than sufficient for a server.

One of my clients is big into mono cards and mono monitors, they have the
redeeming quality that you can leave them on 24/7 and not be too saddened
when a monitor dies because they are so easy to come by used.

You don't really need workstation speed graphics on a server class machine.
